Mirrors, originally written for solo piano, is a mixed-ensemble work that explores the concepts of mirroring in music. While the piece as a whole is mirrored in many ways from start to end, individual themes and motives are mirrored by themselves as well, providing a fractal glimpse into the effects of repetition, retrogression, and inversion.
