Score: Three Pieces - 3: Mirrors
Show/Hide Sibelius Scorch version of Three Pieces - 3: Mirrors - Open in new window/tabThe piece that originally became Mirrors for modified Pierot Ensemble, this solo piano piece explores and deconstructs the concept of mirroring in music. While the whole piece is mirrored front to back, the individual motives are also mirrored, and in some cases, mirrored and superimposed on top of themselves. However, just like mirrors, nothing is perfect and the piece is subtly altered to provide that almost-but-not-quite effect that silvered glass does.
